Friends Annual Board Meeting
Monday, June 3, 2013
7:00 pm.
Library Conference Room
Come join us! We’ve been waiting for you!
Our serious side
We believe the East Longmeadow Public Library is a vital literary, cultural and social center of our community. Our group supports the library’s activities and provides for some of its needs. We educate the public about library issues, promote good-will, and raise much-needed funds to benefit the library and its patrons. If you take the library and these issues seriously, we think you would make a great Friend!
Our fun side
We put smiles on faces! We smile because we meet new people, strengthen friendships and feel a great sense of accomplishment in what we do. Event participants smile for lots of reasons (just ask them!). The library staff smiles because we raise money for items they need and our events help make the library a great place to visit.
Our accomplishments
We’re proud to bring you tried-and-true events as well as new endeavors each year and provide materials and funding for the library. Here are just some of the contributions you can be a part of when you become a Friend:
|
Adult book discussion series
Annual Spring book and bake sale Annual paperback book sale Author’s book signings Evenings with authors |
Friends writing contest |

Pick your level of involvement:
To be a Friend, just complete the enrollment form and pay your membership fee. There’s no other commitment – unless you choose to become actively involved. (We’d love that!) You could provide baked goods for our sale, make research calls to area libraries, help write our newsletter, hang event posters around town, stuff envelopes, sort books for sales, manage an event, brainstorm fundraising ideas, you name it!
I’d like to be a Friend! Sign me up!
