  • Starting Monday, July 1st
  • Check out a book to read for yourself and receive a scratch ticket (one per person per day).
  • If you are a “Winner” claim your prize at the Information Desk on the second floor.
  • Non-winning tickets may be entered to win one of our Grand Prizes. Fill out your name and phone number on the ticket and drop the ticket off at the prize table on the second floor.

Have you read a book that you can’t wait to share with others? Submit a review ONLINE Each review will earn you one ticket in the Grand Prize drawings.

Astrophotography – A presentation by a photographer from the Aldrich Astronomical Society. He will talk about how they capture the amazing photos that will be on display at the library. The display will consist of nightscapes, planets and deep sky. Aldrich Astrophotography Exhibit

Love Signs: Relationship Astrology –  Who do you love? Who would you love? How do you get along with others? Is there a sun sign that’s perfect for you? Come to an entertaining and educational workshop on understanding your own personal astrology with a focus on the moon, Venus and Mars. You can bring your own chart with you if you like (we like the free ones at, but if you don’t have one, we can still provide needed information. Maple Meteorite Candy Making – Make an out of this world candy with 3 simple ingredients.  Chef Tracy Carter will show us how to create a light and airy honeycomb candy with a little sprinkle of salt to create that perfect balance of salt and sweet. Paint, Sip & Fun  – Enjoy an afternoon of creative fun with our favorite instructor, Erin. Paint along with Erin and create your own masterpiece of a Shooting Star. All supplies provided. Registration begins Saturday, July 6.

Stories from the Appalachian Trail – Come hear the story of a modern day adventure, hiking the Appalachian Trail and camping under the stars. Sam Ducharme is the author of Soul Searching on the Appalachian Trail. During his 6 month journey, he documented the rugged beauty of the Appalachian Mountains, the wildlife, the hardships encountered on the trail, as well as the people, culture, and humanity at its finest. Come join him as he takes you through the trail towns, over the mountaintops, and through the backcountry. Registration begins Saturday, July 6.
