The East Longmeadow Public Library has computers available for patron use. There are four computers are available downstairs in the Children’s Room for youth, four computers in the teen area for teen patrons, and 12 computers by the Information Desk upstairs for general use. Patrons may use their library card in good standing or a guest pass to use the computers. Computers have Chrome, Firefox, and Edge Internet browsers installed, as well as 2016 editions of the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and some other software. Printing is available for $0.15 per page for black and white printing and $0.25 per page for color printing. Printing is cash only. Mobile printing is also available! Upload documents to https://www.printeron.net/em/east-longmeadow. You can also forward emails to east-longmeadow-blackandwhite@
When using our library computers upstairs, please send your documents to the printer and click OK once the total amount is displayed. When you are ready to pick up your printing, proceed to the printing workstation across from the Information Desk and follow the instructions to scan your library card or guest pass to retrieve and pay for your printing. Printing is cash only. The machine accepts change (nickels, dimes, and quarters) or $1 bills. Please visit the Information Desk for help.
In the Children’s Room downstairs, please select the Childrens printer and see a staff member to pay for printing.
Black and white photocopying is available on the first floor for $0.15 per page. Color photocopying is available on the second floor for $0.25 per page. Both machines are cash only and accept change (nickels, dimes, and quarters) or $1 bills. Copies can be made on standard 8.5 x 11 paper or legal 8.5 x 14 paper.
Scanning documents to email or USB is available on the second floor of the library using the color photocopier. There is no charge for scanning.
Faxes can be sent on the second floor. Faxing costs $1 per page, cash only. Please visit the Information Desk for assistance.
The East Longmeadow Public Library has Hot Wifi Hotspots and Chromebooks available to borrow. Only one Hotspot and one Chromebook can be checked out at a time. The loan period for Hotspots is two weeks. The loan period for a Chromebook is one week. Please visit the Circulation Desk for more information.
We have a charging station available upstairs in our Reading Garden on the second floor, but if you don’t want to be tied to that charging station, check out one of our Charging Kits at the circulation desk. There are three iOS compatible lightning cable charging kits and three USB-C Android compatible kits available. Items are checked out for a single day, which means you should return them to the Circulation Desk the same day you check them out, and they are for in-library use only.
