Ancestry Library Edition provides access to records in census data, vital records, directories, photos, and more on individuals from North America, the UK, Europe, Australia through more than 7,000 available databases. This resource is only available within the library.
Heritage Quest contains searchable data from U.S. Federal Censuses from 1790 through 1950; genealogy and local history books from over 28,000 family histories, and the Periodical Source Index (PERSI), an index to periodicals of more than 2 million records of titles published since 1800.

Located on the second floor, the library has a Local History Room with items pertaining to the town’s history. Members of the EL Historical Commission are available by appointment to assist patrons with their research.
