Summer Service project

This year the East Longmeadow Public Library is supporting The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts has been feeding our neighbors in need and leading the community to end hunger since 1982. They provide food to member independent food pantries, meal sites and shelters that are on the front lines of food assistance in our region, providing sustenance to individuals, families, seniors, children and people with disabilities (including veterans) to lead healthy and meaningful lives.

The mission of The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts is to “Feed our Neighbors in Need” and we want to help!

Most needed items include peanut butter & jelly, soups, canned tuna fish & chicken, cereal & oatmeal, sauces and tomato-based products, coffee & tea, beans (all kinds), evaporated milk, sugar & spices, condiments, water/vitamin water/juices, canned fruit & veggies, bread & muffin mixes, vegetable & olive oil, pancake mix & syrup and snacks (cookies/granola bars & other healthy snack items).

Your generosity will go a long way in helping those in need. To find out more click here https://www.foodbankwma.org/
