ELPL is soliciting written responses for two grant funded projects!

Exciting news! ELPL is soliciting written responses to complete two grant funded projects, each detailed below. Contact the Library Director at librarydirector@eastlongmeadowma.gov with any questions or to submit estimates.

BID 1:
The East Longmeadow Public Library at 60 Center Square in the Town of East Longmeadow, MA, is soliciting written quote responses from contractors for the addition and update of concrete sidewalks/walkways and external ramp. The project is to upgrade and improve the accessibility of its exterior access routes. Current conditions include excessive running and cross slopes, level changes, and a curb ramp that is not maintained in operable working condition and lacks a flush transition to the parking lot.
 
Invitation for Written Response documents are available from the Library Director’s Office at the East Longmeadow Public Library, Attn: Katherine McGonigle, 60 Center Square Suite 2, East Longmeadow, MA 01028 (Phone: 413-525-5420, librarydirector@eastlongmeadowma.gov). Solicitation documents may also be obtained online at https://www.eastlongmeadowma.gov/Bids.aspx.  
 
This is a state funded project estimated at $24,400. Based on the project estimate, written responses may be emailed to librarydirector@eastlongmeadowma.gov, or delivered to the East Longmeadow Public Library, and will be accepted until the bid deadline of Friday, January 30, 2026 at 12:00PM. There is no conference. There will be no public bid opening. Labor wages are subject to Massachusetts minimum wage rates as per M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H, inclusive. A 50% payment bond will be required of the successful bidder upon award in the event that the contract exceeds $25,000.

BID 2:
 
The East Longmeadow Public Library at 60 Center Square in the Town of East Longmeadow, MA, is soliciting written quote responses from contractors for the removal, furniture moving, and installation of ADA compliant flooring. This project involves replacing the existing main-level flooring with a matte, non-glare, non-slip, durable, and sound-absorbing vinyl tile flooring.
